NJIEC apprentices have access to scholarship opportunities and educational resources through the IEC Foundation (IECF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting education, apprenticeship, training, and workforce development throughout the electrical contracting industry.
Whether you're currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program or planning the next step in your education, we encourage NJIEC apprentices to explore available opportunities and pay close attention to application deadlines.
2027 IEC Foundation Scholarship
The IEC Foundation Scholarship supports qualified students who demonstrate drive, dedication, and leadership in pursuing careers in the electrical industry.
The scholarship is available to IEC students, members, and their immediate families pursuing post-secondary education through college or a state-accredited apprenticeship program.

Additional 2027 IEC Foundation Grant Opportunities
In addition to individual scholarships, the IEC Foundation offers grant programs that help IEC chapters and training centers strengthen electrical apprenticeship education. These programs can provide training resources, equipment, tools, and improvements that directly enhance the apprentice learning experience.​​​
IEC Foundation Home Depot Pro Xtra Grant
Applications are scheduled to open March 9, 2027 and close March 18, 2027 at 5:00 PM EST. Funding from this program supports improvements to IEC training center labs and classrooms, helping enhance education for apprentices and continuing education participants.
IEC Foundation Equipment & Training Grant
Applications are scheduled to open February 18, 2027 and close March 4, 2027 at 5:00 PM EST. This program provides participating chapters with opportunities to request training, training aids, tools, and equipment.
