Webinar: AI on Call: Automating After‑Hours Customer Support for Electricians: October 9th 12:00pm

  • Abstract

    • Let's face it - your crew's not working around the clock, but customers still want answers at all hours. In this session, we'll dive into some clever ways electrical contractors can use an  AI voice CSR to handle those late-night calls, sort out the hot leads, deal with emergencies, and get appointments on the books - all without running your team into the ground.

    • We'll examine real-world examples of how several IEC members have already adopted an AI Voice CSR, including their before-and-after results. We'll break down the basics of getting it up and running and discuss integrating it with your CRM.

    • By the end of this, you'll walk away with some solid ideas on how to evaluate AI voice options, stop missing out on potential jobs, and keep your crew focused on the hands-on work while still being Johnny-on-the-spot for customers.

  • Key takeaways

    • Use cases that work: When to deploy AI voice (overflow, after-hours, and weekend coverage) versus when to route to humans.

    • Implementation checklist: Essential integrations (phone system, dispatch/CRM, scheduling), scripts, and testing steps to launch safely.

    • Customer experience: Best practices for personalizing your AI Voice tool through personalized scripting and having it seamlessly integrate with your CRM

    • ROI & metrics: How to measure success (response time, lead conversion, missed-call reduction, technician time saved).

    • Practical next steps: testing how it works, vendor selection criteria, and staff training to adopt AI voice without disrupting operations.

Webinar: (For Members) Key Changes in the 2026 NEC: December 9th

This webinar highlights some of the key changes in the 2026 edition of NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code®. The 2026 edition is the midpoint of the nine-year goal of a complete reorganization of the NEC that is expected to become final in 2029. Some articles were relocated, several were added, and many were deleted altogether. This webinar discusses these “global” topics, while also covering some of the more impactful technical changes. New and revised requirements for working space, arc-flash labelling, GFCI protection, and load calculations will be discussed, as will electric vehicles and power control systems.
