Welcome to the New Jersey IEC Association

The New Jersey Independent Electrical Contractor Association (NJ-IEC) is the vehicle assisting electrical contractors in the state to be the best educated, informed and most profitable they can be through apprenticeship, continuing education, membership benefits, and advocacy.

Whether an electrical contractor has had a license for 2 years and is a one-man shop or the company has been established for decades and has 100+ employees, the NJ-IEC’s objective is to provide the tools to help you be successful!

NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR

 PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION!

As of May 1st , 2019 all new applicants and renewal applicants for a Public Works Registration Certificate (PWCR) MUST complete and submit a supplement to the PWCR application.

Merit Shop Electrical and Systems Contractors (including low voltage, alarm, fire, solar, etc) that are Registered Public Work Contractors are facing serious challenges renewing their Public Work Registration. NJ-IEC can not only explain the new requirements in detail but can also qualify you to be in compliance with the new law. For more info contact executivedirector@nj-iec.org

Information and instructions regarding this supplement can be found NJ DLW website
