From Fishing Crooked Conduit to High-Caliber Craftsmanship: NJIEC Welcomes High Caliber Tech

Early in their careers, the team behind High Caliber Tech spent hours trying to pull low-voltage cable through a conduit that turned out to be slightly bent. They got the job done, learned a valuable lesson, and still laugh about it more than 20 years later.

That hands-on experience and the problem-solving mindset that comes with it continues to drive High Caliber Tech, NJIEC’s newest member.

While High Caliber Tech may be new to NJIEC, its leadership is anything but new to the industry.

A New Member with Deep Roots in the Trade

The company’s primary partners Eric and Mariano bring over 20 years of field experience in the low-voltage trade.  Starting High Caliber Tech was a natural progression, one that combined individual strengths, career paths, and shared work ethic into a business built on quality and teamwork.

“We’re excited to start engaging with the NJIEC community,” the team shared. “Joining allows us to participate in a DOL-approved apprenticeship program, with NJIEC serving as the intermediary, and we are excited to leverage these resources as a new member."

Pride in Progress and Performance

When asked about the projects they’re most proud of, High Caliber Tech points to their overall growth and expanding portfolio rather than a single job. Their work on Taste It Production and Brearely projects reflects their ability to manage projects effectively while delivering consistent, high-quality results through professionalism, teamwork, and a strong work ethic from start to finish.

Industry Evolution and Advice for the Next Generation

The team at High Caliber Tech has seen the low-voltage industry change dramatically. Advancements in technology, stricter safety standards, and increased regulatory requirements have transformed how work is done. “There’s now a much greater emphasis on training, certifications, and documentation,” they noted. “It’s elevated the professionalism of the trade.”

For those just starting out in the trade, High Caliber Tech keeps the advice simple and honest: Learn the fundamentals. Follow safety protocols. Be patient. “Experience is the best teacher,” they shared. “Ask questions, stay curious, and never stop honing your skills.”

Looking Ahead with NJIEC

When they’re not on the job, the High Caliber Tech team values time with family, staying current on new technologies, and actively participating in industry networking and learning opportunities.

High Caliber Tech’s commitment to growth extends beyond their projects and into ongoing learning, industry involvement, and time with family. We’re pleased to welcome them as NJIEC’s newest member and are excited to see their experience and professionalism strengthen the community moving forward.
